Patricia and Bud KennyBud came up with the idea of touring the world on foot back in 1975 while on an 8,000mile/three and a half year walking tour of America with a pack pony and dog. Besides being a vagabond, Bud has been a disc-jockey, a tour guide, musician, carpenter, timeshare salesman, newspaper reporter, performance poet and an entrepeneur.Patricia has been a police officer, legal secretary, managed a private trust company and a dog groomer. She is also a poet and participated in the Last Patrol. Which was a group of veterans and others who in the mid 1980's marched from the Alamo to Washington DC. to promote the POW/MIA issue. They married New Years Eve 2000.
Della is a Belgian Draft Mule. When she began traveling, Della was six and a half years old. (mules live 40 to 50 years) She stands sixteen and a half hands tall and weighs 1,800 pounds. When on the road she wears special shoes with industrial diamonds welded on the bottom with a rubber pad between her hoof and the shoe. She likes cookies, but her favorite treat is ice cream. "Della is the heart and motor of our journey" - Patricia Kenny.
