| DELLA HAS DIAMONDS ON THE SOLES OF HER SHOES Most of the time Della walks on pavement. So she wears special shoes. They are steel with a carbide material welded to the bottom so she doesn't slip on the pavement. This material is akin to industrial diamonds. Between her shoes and her hoof is a rubber pad to protect her from glass, or nails and other debris that maybe laying on the road. The inside of her hoof has a special packing to further protect her from road heat and ensure proper foot health. Bud is her farrier. He has been shoeing horses and mules since 1974. |
